Education is the solution to a nation in poverty

COPPROME childrens' shelter was founded in 1989 by Sister Teresita Gonzalez and the citizens of El Progreso, Honduras. It was incorporated in 1993.

We offer protection, love and education to children who have been abandoned or are at risk due to the extreme poverty of their families. We provide food, shelter, education, and love to over 60 children from ages 2 to 18.

We are a loving family, all working together for twenty years to bring hope and a brighter future to the poorest of the poor in Honduras.
